On Friday, I flew from Tokyo to Los Angeles for the ALA annual conference held this year in Anaheim. Palm trees, great Mexican food, books, librarians and scads of authors made for a perfect weekend.

The APALA Literature Awards ceremony was held on Sunday morning with speeches by winning authors in different categories:

Unfortunately I had to depart to catch a plane for the East Coast so couldn't stick around to chat more with these fun APALA winners. Hope to see more of them in the future!
